Determined David Alberto Gives it His All for Charity

David Alberto, the ultra-fit managing director of serviced office operator Avanta, has raised a massive £9000 for charity after taking part in the Lake District’s grueling Lakeland 100 event.

The ultra-marathon follows a stunning, circular route in the Lake District that includes the Lakeland fells.

This year 240 runners entered the two day event during which time participants do not take stops or have time to sleep. The winners usually finish in around 23 hours.

Unfortunately David took a fall during the race and was unable to finish due to a leg injury. However he was clocked at the 75 mile mark in 15th overall place and, not put off by the this year’s disappointment, has already signed up to take part in the 2012 race.

David will continue to raise money for Sparks, the children’s charity which raises funds for medical research into conditions affecting children and babies.

Citibase Hires Communications Advisor to Aid Expansion

Serviced Office operator Citibase has appointed PR consultancy Spada in a bid to raise awareness of the Citibase brand as the company looks to expands its portfolio of flexible office space.

Citibase, which specialises in offering flexible office licences for start ups and SMEs, currently operates from 34 serviced office centres across London and the UK. Established in 1993, the company has seen steady growth with most recent acquisitions in Mitcham, Mortlake and Sheffield earlier this year. Citibase is now looking towards a short term goal of managing 50 business centres across the country.

Citibase MD Steve Jude has branded the company as the “Travelodge of Serviced Offices”, offering cost-effective solutions to smaller businesses.

According to a PR release on Spada’s website, it has been enlisted to provide “strategic communications advice” which will help Citibase to market its services more efficiently. MD Alex Kane commented that Spada is looking forward to helping Citibase drive forward with its portfolio expansion.
